Around $1 million funding for projects in Quirindi

Member for New England Barnaby Joyce and Liverpool Plains Shire Council Mayor Doug Hawkins at Quirindi’s new library which is undergoing construction supported by Australian Government funding and at the new sports courts in Quirindi which also received funding for new lighting.

There’s almost $1 million that has gone to several projects in Quirindi for the library project, local sports courts and road projects.

New England MP Barnaby Joyce said the projects are being funded under round one of the Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program, which is helping local communities recover from the economic hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Funding includes $163,000 for the Quirindi netball, basketball…
